In the end, it’s all really just personal preference. ![]() BUT where OBS takes the lead in being free, the initial setup can be cumbersome for someone who isn’t aware of what settings they should change.įor instance, I have seen countless people not able to immediately understand how the encoder works and they try to put it on slow or even placebo (which is literally the most demanding settings in OBS and will make even some of the strongest CPU’s scream for mercy), whereas Action’s UI is definitely very user friendly and setting it up is a breeze. The only downside to Action is, of course, you have to pay for it. ![]() I personally used Mirillis Action prior to using OBS because it takes a minimal hit on your system. So if you couldn’t tell by now from the copious amounts of comments, OBS is definitely a top dog in regards to recording. ![]()
